The image below looks at the west side of the house on May 24, shortly after the Hadrian Tridipanel crew placed the last panel on "Roof #1," which is the largest roof that will cover the living and dining areas and the kitchen. The front door of the house is to the left center, between two large vertical support columns. The smaller roof on the right covers a utility room, and is currently topped by scaffolding used by a video crew to document the roof construction process.
The picture below shows the East side of the house on April 16, soon after the final concrete pour for the roof and major support columns. The scaffolding has been removed in this picture and the final form of this part of the house can be seen. In the days after this picture was taken, the spraying of the concrete skin began in this part of the house.
SCIP Construction Progress!
Monday, May 24 was the one year anniversary of the Groundbreaking ceremony we held to start this project. It was also the day that the Hadrian Tridipanel crew rolled out the largest roof on the building which covers the living and dining areas and the kitchen.
On Tuesday, the Hadrian crew used Tridipanels to build the walls and roof for the 24,000 gallon water catchment tank on the hill below the house. The entire tank structure was erected in under two and a half hours, and is nearing readiness for the final concrete application.
The crew is also continuing to prepare the first master bedroom area and the living room area for the next concrete pour which will put into place the support columns.
As part of this, concrete is being sprayed onto the walls of the structure in all areas under the direction of Bill Hadrian.
Check out the Hadrian Tridipanel web site for more information on this amazing building system.
